If you've always wanted to give back, but haven't been sure where to start- hop on the bus! We'll show you how and we'll have a little fun along the way.
While the name implies we simply "do good", there is much more the Do Good Bus offers. Our number one goal on the bus is to ensure everyone has a good experience-- from the passenger to the non-profit. This includes: feeling accomplished, feeling informed about the cause's mission, keeping energy and spirits high and having an organized and efficient experience. Secondly, our goal is to create new bonds and strengthen existing ones through team building with a "do good" twist. Our experience working with over 100 non-profits across the country has given us expertise in ensuring both the non-profit and the volunteer end their day feeling inspired and connected. For us, it's more than doing good... it's creating community.
Our mission is to significantly improve the health, income, and quality of life for the world's most underserved communities by providing life-changing knowledge through innovative technology.
We provide a comprehensive program that uses our audio learning computer, the Talking Book, to deliver relevant, accessible and accurate information on some of the most challenging public health needs of underserved communities. We leverage local expertise and existing research, recording messages in song, drama and interview formats, as well as in local languages and dialects. Through a dedication and focus on research and development, our programs are a continual learning lab with carefully designed and tested feedback loops and mechanisms to ensure we deliver the latest information in a continually improving, creative, learner-centered program.

Annually, over 500,000 pounds of broken crayons are discarded in landfills throughout the country. By collecting unwanted crayons from restaurants, schools, as well as other locations, and recycling them into new ones, The Crayon Initiative is doing our part to prevent crayons from depositing in the landfill.
In the past 12 months, we have diverted over 40,000 pounds of unwanted crayons from the landfill. This has allowed us to process and donate new crayons to over 15,000 pediatric patients in 12 states and 35 different hospitals. We are partnering with new schools, restaurants, and community groups everyday increasing our intake of crayons. Each new partner helps us divert crayons heading for the landfill into pediatric patient’s hands.
